The NBS4AQUAMISSION international research project, focused on the protection of aquatic biodiversity from pharmaceutical pollution through the use of Nature-Based Solutions (NbS), officially began its journey this week with a dynamic kickoff meeting in Jaén. This pivotal gathering brought together representatives from eight diverse partners, in person and online, across Europe.
Hosted at the University of Jaén, the two-day meeting served as a crucial platform for leading researchers, technologists, and urban planners. Attendees engaged in intensive discussions, strategic planning, and collaborative workshops, effectively laying the groundwork for the project's ambitious goals.
The whole team is incredibly excited to launch NBS4AQUAMISSION project. The collective expertise and passion present in this meeting are truly inspiring, establishing a solid foundation for our work towards improving water quality and, in turn, biodiversity and human well-being.
The project is slated to run for three years with different demo-sites in several countries. Stay tuned for more updates as NBS4AQUAMISSION progresses towards a more sustainable water management.
